It’s a tough question to answer without seeing the master resale rights that came with the product.
You see we call them by so many names, resale rights, master resale rights, private label rights, and so on.
In a very general way I would say that if you have the .doc file then you have Private Label Rights – meaning you can add to, remove from, ‘brand’ with any affiliate promotions, and claim yourself as author.
Again, that’s generally speaking. Some resale rights sellers are bundling up the .doc files just to make brandng easier on the new owner.
Now your question is about another language and I’m no lawyer but I would think that you are perfectly within your rights to translate your private label rights doc file and sell it as a completely new creation.
Of course check with the originator if you can. Check for any read me files in your package. Check for license files as well.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note. I’m sorry I took so long to reply, I was off on holidays.

Hi,
I have a question: if I have an ebook with private label rights, and I have the source .doc file of the ebook too, could I translate the content of the ebook in a different language and publish it as a book?
It is that a private label right too?
Thanks!
Best regards!
