The gift / giving away a timeshare?
I have a great unit timeshare at Hilton Head, South Carolina and one unit Timeshare in Atlantic City, NJ. I can not afford to do the maintenance costs each year more than my mortgage, car payments, Food / clothing / 2 children etc, etc. I want to donate these units, so I am free of the maintenance fee and obtain the tax deduction for this donation. Does anyone know what the charities accepting donations tax deductible Timeshare? I really need to know! Help! Does anyone know one that will accept charitg immediately and assume ownership of them? I contacted an agency Charities and they said they would try to sell the units but would be mine (maintenance costs too!) until they can sell it, usually within 6 months. "I want to donate now get the tax deduction ASAP, no maintenance costs more! If please let me know if you have ANY information about it as soon as possible! Thank you!
You may find it difficult to find a body charity that accepts donations. They do not want to pay for these expenses either.
