I’ve just had a preliminary peek inside a website called the Mega Red Packet and before I get too busy on too many other projects, I decided I’d better write you this post – especially since access will be limited.

Speaking of ‘limited’, if you’ve been marketing online for any length of time and using private label products don’t you just love that some packages are limited in the sales they’ll make before they shut down? Personally I look for this in private label or resale rights products now – it helps me make my decision on whether or not to invest.

It just sucks when you pick up some products, go to sell them or post the content on your site and find that thousands of other sellers are doing the exact same. So much for being an exclusive reseller!

Let’s get back on topic…the marketers teamed up to release this for their 4th May 2009 deadline. This is a massive undertaking with huge value to online marketers. I wondered at first glance if they would have time to make their deadlines, but these are three, integrty-rich, overachievers.

Vince Tan a World Internet Summit speaker and orchestrator of Biggest Firesale event in 2008, breaking a 6 figure record in just 3 days and follow up with $170,000 in sales in only 10 days.

Edmund Loh (a PLR superstar) is noted for over than 260 Private Label Rights titles under the PLRGold brand.

And Stephen Luc, a video superstar in his own right. Within the walls of PLRGold, Stephen’s videos raked in $100,000 in 10 days as well.

So what is this special all about?

Branded as a “Recession Show Stopper,” I was ready for the hype before I even hit the login. I quickly let my guard down however, once I saw what was inside.

This site has definitely been created to turn the tide for people who are not only struggling in their online business but also people who are affected by the current recession period and looking to educate themselves in the business as well as get a running start.

My review of Mega Red Packet is that this package is the closest thing to push button marketing (all the work has been done for you, no matter what level you’re on) you’ll find today. The guys state that they’ve invested nearly $100,000 and 6 months in conceiving and creating this push button program and infrastructure, including new and original products and I can believe it. A huge undertaking.

My review of MegaRedPacket.com also finds that website traffic generation is solved for many by some easy to follow instruction and guidance that anyone can implement – IF they want their business to be successful. This isn’t about reading and knowing, this is all about implementation with a purpose!

In fact the traffic generation info is top notch – and has already been dubbed ‘the next generation of traffic building’. And, just in case you’re a skeptic, you’ll find oodles of case studies to ease your mind that your time will be well spent using the techniques they proport.

I am running out of time writing this post today, so if you want to know more I suggest you head over and watch the videos, read the introduction and sign up for more information as the count down to launch day progresses – remember this is limited access so you may not have much of a window of opportunity to check this out.

One final thing, if you’re a person who has incredible luck, you could win this entire package in their contest and you only need to get onto their Advanced Notification List to enter – no blog comments or list of reasons why you want it are required! And you can unsubscribe if you don’t win, at any time.

If you’re an online marketer who either creates their own products or re-brands private label rights products for uniqueness and personal branding – this set of action scripts are going to save you oodles of money and oodles of time!

You know as well as I do, that when it comes to getting noticed online (especially when you’re trying to sell a digital, downloadable product or two) you had better be unique or your potential customers are just going to hit Google and find another version of whatever it is you’re selling at some discount online store…

And to do that – to make your product completely unique to your potential customer – you first need to change the cover graphics. Unfortunately though, changing cover graphics are usually expensive to outsource or time-draining if you know how to do it yourself.

Well these action scripts are going to change all that. Yes, you will be making your own graphics, but no, doing so will not take hours of your precious day so you can get back to what you do best – promotion and marketing of your private resale right products!

First off, before we go on, you need to know that these scripts are worthless to you if you don’t have Adobe Photoshop installed on your computer (or a friend who will let you use their machine for 10 minutes to make new covers for your products…).

Let me give you a quick demonstration…

You begin with a template provided by the script, type in your own text, change the color, add some graphics that you want to include, and run the script:

That’s all there is to it!

You can make these images in all shapes and sizes. Here’s a showing of 10 of the ebook samples and shadow templates alone!

You’ll also find:

5 software box shapes with shadows (one even has a matching disk outside of the box – looks ultra-professional!).

8 custom CD templates – some alone, some in matching paper sleeves, 3 in jewel cases (you add the color).

7 DVD case scripts. One of these is a 4 DVD case set, another is shown with double DVDs, one with the matching DVD inside the case…these are all really good.

The 10 ebook templates (as shown above), plus 1 ezine booklet template, 3 notebooks (one that looks like a manual and workbook set), and

1 membership card template to round it all off nicely.

When you purchase this set of internet graphics creation scripts you’ll also receive the resale rights to the package. Your immediate download will include the scripts, an installation program, access to installation videos, a professionally written sales letter (in html) with full instructions on setting up your website to sell the package. Also a pre-created download (thank you) page and all the graphics you need to get your sales page for this script online and ready to hook up with your own order buttons.

Some Background Information on Ecovers and Website Graphics

What’s An Ecover Graphic?

An eCover graphic is simply an image that looks like a real book, software box, membership card, manual or workbook. It exists solely to represent your product to your customer in a physical manner. This is done to help them picture having the product in their hands after they make their purchase.

Even if your product is digital, this strategy has still been shown to help people make a buying decision.

Having an eCover also makes you look like a professional compared to your competition who use either poor quality graphics or (worse) no graphics at all to depict their products.

You have probably seen several websites that have eCovers and may have even made purchases from some. They are incredibly popular and seeing them on sales pages is actually a very common occurrence now. In fact, you’d probably be hard pressed to find a decent website selling an eBook without one.

There is no doubt that eCovers are a huge trend in business on the Internet and creating a brand for your business products and services online.

eCovers Boost Sales

Here are some statistics that may just make your jaw drop in amazement…in fact, the numbers from this study have never been released to the public before now.

In a recent testing, two sales letters were pitted against one another to measure the response rate. One had a strictly text design. The other had the same design except a professional eCover was added close to the order button.

The results? The sales letter with the eCover graphic pulled in 5 times more sales than the one with just text. As I’m sure you can see, those end results are pretty telling and proves one very important point – if you don’t have an eCover on your website to represent your digital products you are quite likely losing credibility, visitors and/or subscribers, and worst of all, sales!

Hiring Out Your eCover Design

Although you may find a decent designer that understands your ideas, needs, target market and concept who will work for a relatively low price, the charges still add up quickly. A simple eCover, for instance, cost upwards of $100 or more and that’s per image! Just one cover is going to set you back, but consider the costs over the launch of several products, over several years – in fact the lifetime of your internet marketing career!

DIY eCovers

To recap, without an eCover, you just aren’t maximizing sales and frankly, you’re leaving money on the table. But what if you don’t know graphic design and can’t afford to hire a designer right now?

“If you aren’t a professional designer, you are actually going to hurt sales if you design a low budget, homemade eCover”. –Laura Childs

In fact, I’ve seen many homemade eCovers that are certainly hurting the vendor’s sales that it just makes me hurt for the website owners.

You see, if you don’t know what you’re doing and you create a graphic that looks bad, people think your product is bad. Your product may not actually be bad but people visiting your site won’t know this.

That’s why a good eCover is absolutely essential in making sure that you turn maximum visitors into sales.

The Ultimate eCover Design Solution

It all comes down to this:

You absolutely need a professional, high caliber eCover graphic on your website to maximize sales.

You absolutely understand that there are serious pitfalls involved in doing it yourself and certainly a financial burden of paying someone to create these for you.

So the solution, for high-quality, do-it-yourself eCovers is to buy the action scripts that work seamlessly with Adobe Photoshop and you’ll be able to create your own eCovers in just a few mouse clicks. In fact this could even be the start to a lucrative little business for yourself or someone in your family – to hire themselves out to marketers who don’t know how to use these scripts to create their own top-notch eCover graphics.

You don’t have to be a graphic designer and the end result will always be extremely high quality. NOT homemade quality!

Best of all, you can make unlimited eCovers for unlimited products for free, forever!

If you have a list that is somewhat savvy about making money online, this resale script and ebook package should sell well and repeatedly for you.

The topic and the script is all about a style of marketing that have been hot on top marketers discussion lists these days. CPA marketing is similar to affilliate marketing, except you don’t have to sell a thing to get paid. Webmasters and anyone with some skill at directing online traffic will love it.

Understanding CPA – What It Is

CPA, cost per action, is one of the hottest and most profitable ways to make money online. Through networks completely devoted to these offers and the payments, online marketers are now choosing CPA as a way to create residual income.

For quite a while now, the most discussed way to make residual income has been through affiliate marketing programs that have a continuity (month-to-month) program in place.

Promoting continuity programs is a step up from one time commissions – every time someone you refer buys the product or service being sold. And CPA is the next step up from there, simply because it’s easier, you’re not selling a thing!

If it makes zero sense that you don’t sell a thing but you’ll be rewarded monthly for every successful transaction, read on. What makes these CPA networks stand out from everything else is that you get paid for every lead you refer to the advertiser’s site rather than for an actual sale. So from your perspective, the potential earnings are larger since you are providing the advertiser with what they really want – leads. Leads that they can contact time and time again with offer after offer.

Let’s look at the nuts and bolts of CPA networks to better understand how they work and why they are a booming business on the internet.

Problem: In today’s tough economy it’s getting harder than ever to convince people to spend their money buying a particular product or service. It seems everybody is “pinching their pennies”, and that means online advertisers are having to come up with new and creative ways to get people’s attention. CPA (cost per action) networks came about because advertisers realized they could get good value and make money from people who are simply willing to fill out a form, a survey, or otherwise provide their contact information.

How is this possible? Because once that contact information is in hand the advertiser can go back and market to that person over and over again, increasing the chances of making a sale at some point. What this means for you is that CPA networks are willing to pay people just like you to refer people to their sites, providing them with valuable customer leads.

Now, it’s not always easy to become part of a CPA network. The reputable ones are very careful to work with only those people who can demonstrate their website is professional enough and popular enough to provide real, honest-to-goodness leads. If you want to get in on this fantastic new way of making money online then you have to understand exactly what the best CPA networks are looking for and how you can provide it to them.

If you’ve been in affiliate marketing for a while you will find that the CPA networks operate a bit differently. Therefore it is absolutely vital that you understand the secrets to becoming accepted as a partner with them and getting around the network to unlock their full profit potential.

One of the reasons that CPA networks are booming right now is that they are very careful and selective about whom they accept into their network. They don’t want to let anyone in who is being deceptive, untruthful, or outright lying about who they are and what they have to offer. While this makes it a bit tougher to get started than with other types of residual income programs (pay per click, traditional affiliate marketing, etc.), it also means the networks are generally free of the many scammers and fraudsters who unfortunately are all too common on the internet.

The key to making money, then, is getting accepted by one or more CPA networks. There are a few simple steps that, if you follow them carefully and faithfully, will dramatically increase your ability to be accepted by a CPA network and start making money generating leads for their advertisers.

How to Find the Right CPA Offer for Your Target Market

We’re going to look at how to go about finding and selecting the right CPA offer to meet your needs. Not all CPA networks are created alike, so it’s critical to find the right ones that are the best match.

Just as you would with any other product or service you want to sell, selecting the right CPA network that has the greatest profit potential for you means finding one that fits your niche audience. The best and most profitable offers from advertisers will do you no good at all if they are not a good fit with the demographic and audience you know best.

Once you have found the right niche, the next step is sorting through the available offers to find the one that will work best for you and in your niche. The best way to do this is to look at each offer from the perspective of the person you are trying to attract as a lead. How will this offer appear to them? What will they find attractive about it? How will it fulfill a particular want or need they have?

It doesn’t do you any good to promote an offer that is a mismatch for your target audience, so do some further valuation and put yourself in the shoes of your audience. Evaluate each offer from their perspective and only select the ones that they are going to respond to the best.

The Resale Rights Package on CPA

A special ebook that you can read, use and make money with as well as sell to your list, plus, and this is big, an awesome script that gets traffic moving to the CPA offers in a fun and interesting way. You can also sell that script to your subscribers – with or without the ebook, as an upsell, whatever you choose for your product model.

Check out the working version of the script but please understand that you cannot actually sign up for anything (that would be against regulations of the CPA networks and offers), and understand that the ebook included with your package will answer all of your questions on how to get started making money this way. From start to finish, this 35+ page ebook is jam-packed with the expert information and guidance you need to successfully get started and be successful using one or more CPA networks.

As a resale rights marketer you can sell the ebook and the script as a package. Sell them individually. Sell them on an individual use basis or sell on the rights to other marketers.

There are stipulations. For instance you cannot sell the package for any less than $47 and please be sure to follow that restriction as the original creator often checks for bootleg copies and black lists or charges anyone selling at less than suggested retail. (You will be given a certificate of authorized software upon your purchase.)

Get your copy and download the package in five minutes by clicking the PayPal button below.

I’m writing a quick review of a site I just joined up with this morning because I’ve checked under the hood of all the private label content on that site and I am thrilled to bits over the quality and quantity. One of the things I love best is that membership is affordable. Secondly, it’s capped which means there won’t be thousands of people online who have similar content as you…

This review will attempt to exactly disclose what the site is all about and what you might expect when you check out the inside. Right now there’s a $1 trial membership and over 24 book length products (plus articles, etc.) available for immediate download so don’t hesitate to leave this review at any time and grab your own pass to PLR.

What You’ll Find for Private Label Rights

First off, we’ll start with a description of exactly what the site is. Tagged as a site that gives you 4-5 new private label rights products each and every month, these are ebooks on niche markets that have been researched and found to be hot topics.

One thing I found that was ridiculous was the pre-launch price. In an era where top notch private label rights products cost $50-$100 each, this site comes in at a stunningly low $47 a month for ALL 5 products. But even better is that if you hurry you can start for just $1 and then $19.97 a month – cancel at anytime.

Here’s what in the site with a more specific break down of each section…

Private Label Rights Right Now

Each product comes with two documents called the Product Analysis and Fast Action Ideas documents. These documents contain copy starters to help you create an awesome sales letter for your new eBook as well as keywords and competitive pay per click analysis so that you can start bidding on keywords to get traffic to your website quickly.

You’ll also find market research, potential titles for your product and much more.

Also included are 25 articles for each of the products that you can use to further customize your book, use for article marketing or use for creating reports or other traffic generating materials.

Need Training to Sell Private Label Rights Products?

Most membership sites that say that they are going to offer training fall so short of delivering on the promise that it isn’t even funny. Believe me, I’m a member of several monthly websites and the offering as far as fresh training is sparse.

So far, there have been incredible amounts of training resources and tools added to the member’s area of NakedPLR that are of extremely high value. There are over a half dozen manuals and quick start guides that show you everything from how to customize your books each month all the way to making more money from them, multiplying profits and getting cheaper pay per click traffic.

The information included in this training section easily could have been sold as a multiple hundred dollar physical course but Jeremy has included it all in the members area.

I honestly feel that this one section alone is worth every penny of the membership fee each month.

Even A WebSite Builder

I don’t use this myself, but this section gives you everything that you need to build a hot selling website that you can use to start selling your products. You get a complete course that takes you through the entire process of using the two documents that come with each product to craft your own sales letter step by step, without writing anything from scratch. This course is a 100 page course and could easily be a $97 sales letter customization course all by itself.

Best of all, you also get a sales letter template that aids you in the process with more guidance and the formatting already done for you!

You see people selling sales letter software that doesn’t offer the results this template does for upwards of $200 or more but it’s included in your NakedPLR.com membership.

Bonus Private Label Rights in the Marketing Arena

Loaded with over a dozen products with rights that you can use to start selling right away for immediate profits. Most of these products come complete with sales letters and graphics and are ready to roll.

The cool thing is that you can use some of the tactics that you’ve learned in the training material provided in the training section and further customize these existing products. This allows you to create a product fast that’s totally unique to you!

Chances are, you’ve probably seen some vendors selling these products that you’re going to get for free *with* rights. Download them, use the information in them to profit from and also use them to sell for a profit.

There are even web 2.0 tactics covered that you’ve seen in many paid courses as well as tools such as press releases, articles and review for your blogs.

Summing Up

As you can probably tell, I am very happy with all of the products and more that I received as a new member. Of course, the star is the 4-5 products you get every month with private label rights enabling you to start 4-5 new niche businesses each month but the training, bonus products, tools and affiliate training are also awesome.

Overall, I give the NakedPLR.com membership 5 stars and I recommend that you take a look at grabbing your own membership. At $1 to start, you can’t lose, but don’t wait, I know the trial will be moving back to $147 soon and I’ll have to rewrite this review.

Get your membership today.

Earlier this year eBay published an announcement to all sellers that had many users up in arms. The change in policy affected selling ebooks and software within eBay’s standard auction categories.

eBay no longer allows digital downloads (including resale rights, master resale rights and even private label rights books) to be sold and collected by the purchases. This affected more sellers than most would guess (unless you’re already in this arena as a marketer of ebooks) and many have lost hundreds of dollars of monthly income as a result in the change in policy.

Website giant eBay seldom explains their actions – similar in fact to their April 2008 decision to move their affiliate program in house and away from Commission Junction – so the online marketer has no recourse but to speculate the reason for the change. Forums have been buzzing about resale rights products and one off sales of ebooks and some of the possible reasons for the change are listed below.

Overnight Power Seller Status – An internet ‘technique’ for credibility – buyers and sellers of cheap ebooks gain quick, cheap feedback – potentially reaching power seller status in a week’s time. eBay discourages any action that gains such status so quickly so discontinuation of digital goods might have been their way of nullifying the technique.

A large percentage of ebooks and software sold on ebay are low in quality and value. Support for the products are minimal to none and likelly have been the lion’s share of refund and third-party negotiations. Customer service is never profitable and it has been speculated that eBay simply didn’t want to deal with these items in their system, anymore.

eBay partner PayPal stopped offering buyer protection for digital items quite some time ago. Therefore eBay was left with the negotiations between unhappy buyers and unscrupulous sellers. Eliminating all digital products (even the high quality ebooks and software) helps eBay to eliminate all the hassle that come with low quality items.

The Solution for eBook Buyers and Sellers – eBay Classified

One of the first avenues for marketers to make money selling digital products on eBay was via eBay classifieds. Today, eBay still allows digital products to be sold through this venue.

eBay classified ads run for one month and cost less than $10 to post. No other fees are tacked on and the standard auction posting “final value fee” is non-existant. Furthermore, classified ads run along with the regular auction listings, and still capitalize on eBay’s massive share of traffic.

Some common complaints from eBay sellers are that listings in classifieds take a long time before they start gaining any serious traffic. This is the result of the standard search results throughout eBay – sorted to display ending soonest first by default – the classified ads don’t generally show up until they’re almost ready to close.

While some say they don’t get much traffic to their eBay classified ads, others claim to get a lot. With a catchy title and thumbnail graphic, you’ll likely get enough traffic to your listing to make the ad worthwhile. With an attention to pristine copy you could be using your ad to gain both sales and subscribers.

I will write more advanced techniques using eBay classifieds for selling ebooks and software (namely those with resale rights) in a later post.

Although my Squidoo pages aren’t generating much of an income for the Children’s Defense Fund on Squidoo (I donate all my Squidoo earnings there) – the marketing techniques I’ve been learning have been increasing my affiliate income – in markets I’d never thought I’d earn a dollar in.

I learned (and am continuing to incorporate) the techniques from this master resale rights product and it’s selling for just $12.99.

“Learn to Generate Traffic to Your Website, Grow Your Email List, and Earn Affiliate Commissions…All by using this FREE promotion strategy, in just minutes per day…”

Plus, because this is a relatively new resale rights ebook (actually a series since there are three bonus ebooks in the purchase) it’s easy to find the market and profit.

Now I’m not naming names here, as a matter of fact I fall into some of these traps on my own from time to time to. I’ll take it as a learning experience, constructive criticism, and keep moving forward.

I suggest all resale rights product owners do the same. If you’ve tried to sell and aren’t making enough sales, it’s time to try something different. There’s little sense banging your head against the wall after all.

Winston Churchill said: “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” Why stay in hell? Move forward – no bitching and whining – and start making sales.

If you’ve spent time reading at any of the popular forums, you’ve likely heard a lot of people whining about one product or another. They’re either saying how bad a product is or how excellent the information is and so much of this is based on personal experience level, too much time on their hands (why wouldn’t a person post their content to their own site and build a business in the process?) – or how well they know the original author. Marketing forums hold the worst of them, where people almost always discuss the latest product launch in their field, and in internet marketing there’s something new every day to talk about!

It’s not uncommon to see bipolar approaches to discussing new product launches, too. One approach will always focus on the negative parts of the product, lambasting it is a sham or as not useful. The other approach will be a little more realistic…observing what was good, what might be missing, and what could be improved upon. Usually the reviewers are not authors themselves – or for that matter students.

Often, you will see the negative comments coming from those who have had little to no success promoting the product – or who, they themselves, have had no real experience in successfully launching a product.

In contrast, you will likely see the positive comments coming from those who have successfully promoted the product and earned; or those who know marketing well enough that they could successfully promote the product if they decided to do so.

There’s a perfectly good reason for this!

Those who can successfully promote products and earn money know that almost any product, no matter how mundane it is, can be promoted with a high degree of success. Even a cheap and less than perfect ebook can bring in money if the marketer gets the product in front of the right audience. Most marketers (especially the new ones) don’t have a clue how to even determine their target market much less find them!

Smart and successful marketers know that a product doesn’t necessarily have to be radically different in order to provide information that the end-user needs most.

Here’s a real world example to a lousy or cheap ebook in the real world – McDonald’s. The food at McDonald’s is really nothing new or different or better than their competitors – and yet they swiftly defeated everyone else in the market by offering cheap food, fast. Sound like cheap products, instantly delivered, right when the target market needs it?

The difference was in how the business was positioned and marketed. In the hands of a lousy marketer, McDonald’s would have failed; in the hands of a skillful marketer however, it became one of the largest corporations in the world.

So keep this caveat in mind next time you hear someone attacking the latest digital product release: there are more lousy marketers than there are lousy resale rights products!

Here’s one that set me off my chair.

It’s a resale rights product.

It’s very cheap.

It spells everything out step-by-step.*

And the technique is fresh and hot.

$7 (I paid $37 for my copy when it first came out, then neglected to list it) buys you the product and the master rights. You can edit the sales letter, but not the ebook. You pay, download the ebook and within the ebook is the link to register your purchase, get signed up for the update notification list and download the reseller’s kit. It’s a paypal purchase.

Building Traffic using Web 2.0 Video Sharing Sites Such as YouTube – it’s called TubeTraffic. It’s 59 pages and loaded with case studies, screen captures, shortcuts and step by steps.

Check it out here – Web 2.0 Traffic, use it, sell it, and keep moving forward!

—————————————————————–

* I think even my cranky visitor Vince R might even be able to understand and take the concepts further but here’s a hint if you need it – “Once you understand the core concepts and begin marketing using this technique, take it further by repeating the exact same process to other Web 2.0 video sharing sites like YouTube – it takes much, much less time for each submission and the results are multiplied with every upload.” You’ll see, check it out.

One of the online internet marketers sent this to me today as a gift. It comes with private label rights which I always appreciate since the opportunities are wide open for uses I may have for the content.

However, it’s crap. I wouldn’t even let my 12 year old submit it as her essay project to her teacher! She’d get an ‘F’!

Why, as marketers, do we keep passing this shit around? It’s useless and gives private label rights a bad name. I can’t imagine what the first person paid for it because my rights didn’t come with a sales letter, just a graphic of the cover, the .doc file and a pdf.

The problem is that the title makes it sound so appealing…A step by step guide to a task that so many of us bemoan…I’d love to follow a format and share one with my customers. But not with this product! It’s so bad I can’t even rewrite it into something good.

If you stumble upon something selling that looks like this:

Run.

Here’s why…

Top of page 5, “You’re Headline”. Hello? If a person was good enough to be a copywriter, good enough to write and sell an ebook about it anyway, you think he’d have a command of the English language wouldn’t you? “Your Headline” would be proper English. But even if it had been written in proper English it wouldn’t matter – the copy stinks. What kind of captivating, exciting chapter title is “Your Headline”?

Okay, 18 pages long. 18 pages isn’t going to teach anyone a system for copywriting. Sorry. Put your wallet away.

Certainly not these 18 pages! The report is page after page of references of “dogs dicks” (page 4), “spraying tom cats” (page 5), “shithouse” (page 3) – I can’t go on.

The whole thing reads worse than a teenager’s MSN Spaces post about how she hates the small town she’s living in…

Anyway, end of post. If you’re on a mailing list that is sending you crap like this, it’s time to unsubscribe or at the least redirect the marketer to this post. Let’s stop the tidal wave of garbage private label rights from being passed around. It’s worse than a virus.

Mike Mograbi is an aquaintance of mine so I’ve been pretty quiet up until now about the VIP line of software and scripts.

And how they’ve given me nothing but headaches every time I’ve tried to install, configure or run one on my sites…

But Mike’s sold out the entire line of VIP Profit Zone products with rights now, and that can only spell trouble for the online community.

Why?

There are now hundreds of marketers selling these products at super low prices.

The marketers have no idea how to support their customers if the customer experiences troubles.

Many of the scripts and software are buggy, non-intuitive and won’t work on all servers.

Which just wastes everyone’s time and money.

If you think I’m ranting for no good reason, you’re wrong. I’m trying to save you the money and the trouble. You see the sales letters and the graphics for these products are good, convincing, beautiful. Some of them even have demos running…but you’ve got to be a geek or a programmer to get them working on your own sites. Seamless integration or easy setup is NOT part of the equation in any of the VIP line I’ve owned or worked with.

The poll script was clunky and never ran right. The site creator was a waste a money (you can get free site creators that are supported, updated, faster, and oh! did I say free?), but the icing on the cake was when I fell in love with VIP Interactive Site Creator and even after spending two days in installation, customization, tweaking the code to change the template (which was supposed to be a one click deal), adding a logo, configuring my server, signing up for a larger hosting account to ensure I could handle the bandwidth demands for the video site I was creating)…it still never ran right!

True to the poor quality of the general population in the resale market, the guy who sold me the product for $7 (Doug Champigny over at <a href="http://www.sevenbucks.com"rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.sevenbucks.com), never answered my email asking if he knew a programmer who could fix it (I said I’d pay, I just needed a recommendation), never refunded my money or credited me for selling me a product that doesn’t work (I learned a lesson there about who not to buy from again), and never even answered my emails (twice!).

I eventually just dumped the software because it was so lacking in features.

Then I headed over to and installed Drupal. It comes complete with a video module plus a host of other features – all free. All supported in the forums. Easy to install (just a few clicks from a cPanel hosting account). Easy to modify to suit my market, my tastes, and the features I’m after in a website.

All lessons learned – be careful who you buy from, free tools and scripts that are supported and updated frequently are often far superior to the stuff dumped on a market and forgotten, your time is more valuable than your money, always google for a review of any product before you buy it!

———

A side note: I have bought, installed, tweaked, and worked with at least 30 server-side scripts over the last 6 years on a variety of server types and hosting accounts. Many of them work very well, especially when the seller is the creator of the script and they’re ready and willing to support and assist their customers!

I’m back now from a long summer off and heading back into my hard drive again to brush off the dust of the master rights and resale rights products I own.

I honestly no longer remember where most of these came from, likely as a result of being on far too many internet marketer’s mailing lists. They buy up these resale rights products, read them and figure they can’t ethically sell them, so they pass them on as freebies for the right to market other expensive products to your email address for months to come.

Too bad. I hit this product on my hard drive today and was really excited! The sales letter had me pumped up, good thing I didn’t have my wallet out I would have tried to buy it from myself! The premise and the promise is strong. You can write articles now, easily, that will send traffic to your site and earn you an income for months, even years, to follow.

Of course, as a marketer myself I do know that’s true, but I was hoping for something good to sell you, some well written, easy to understand guide with step by step instructions – and, this wasn’t it.

Loaded with advertising, links to a seller’s site where you’ll likely get sucked into buying up more poorly written ebooks…sigh.

This particular one is rife with typos, grammatical errors. Whomever wrote it should have stuck to whatever their first language was because it sure isn’t English!

The Lazy Man’s Guide to Writing Articles – How to Write Articles That Make You Instant Cash and Bring In A Residual Income for Life!

Whatever.

On page 3 this guy states that “I’ve been writing articles for publication online since 1999 and I havn’t (sic) looked back since my first article made over $1100.00 in affiliate commissions and it only took me 2 hours to write.”

He should have spent another 10 minutes to run his spell check then!

I’m not sure what type of dreamy-eyed moron marketer would buy anything from this guy but it sure won’t be me and I’m not about to perpetuate the huge amount of crap online by passing it up for sale here.

Not to mention that it’s mostly hype and lies. On page 4 it states that “(one article)…bring in a good income for the life span of the internet.” Hmmm, I wasn’t aware the internet had a life span. I wonder what that might be? 70 years? 700? Who’s to know without other ‘internets’ to gauge the lifespan of such a creature before it.

Finally, there are so many flaws in this. First he’ll tell you he spends 2 hours to write an article, then he’ll tell you that you could churn out 50 to 100 articles per day. I’m not certain what time zone he lives in but at 2 hours per article x 24 hours – yup that would be about 12 articles, with no sleep or time for eating. A far cry from 50.

If you have this resale rights product do yourself a favor and don’t sell it online. Your customers will be as unhappy as I was and we don’t need to perpetuate any more stupidity than we already have online.

Last year a resale rights opportunity launched which I was very excited about…

Yet even with selling hundreds of resale rights products over the past two years this one hasn’t moved a muscle.

Which is too bad really, because it’s actually a well created product, but it has a few ‘flaws’ when it comes to making the sale. See if you can spot them, and if you can, then ensure you don’t make the same mistakes when (a) buying resale rights products or (b) creating resale rights products.

Build Your List (Video Enhanced Crash Course)

Although list building is an essential to any online website owner, this ebook flew off my site after not making one sale in over a year. Here’s what’s inside…

Entry Level Guide for Website Owners who want to build a mailing list for profits includes two helpful videos, a number of great free resources as well as some recommended products.

Decent stand-alone product.

(sample sales letter)

Windows based PCs only

Full Master Resale Rights (give, sell or bundle)

Decent stand-alone product, that is partly brandable.

Includes all graphics, and pages required.

Suggested retail: $67

Assessed Price: $9-17

What’s going on here? Why is a suggested and assessed price such a wide difference? After all, the information is top notch, albeit slight. The videos are interesting and professionally done.

The trouble lies in the residual built in, back end, profit potential – it’s all in favor of the author and there’s far too much of it! Far too many advertisements within for most people’s tastes. If you sell this for a high price your customers will likely get aggravated that they paid top dollar to be advertised to. There are some nice ‘gifts’ inside however.

Finally the file size is massive – over 11 megs for the video ebook – if your customers are on dial up, don’t buy these resale rights!

Needless to say, I stopped selling it. If I’m having a hard time moving it off the shelves, so will my resale rights customers.
